MY WHY
This journey is bigger than pickleball.
I’m starting my first full season as a PPA signed professional pickleball player, but creating this page is about something much bigger for me than pickleball. It’s about surrender.
I believe God has appointed me to compete with Christ at the center of everything I do—to honor Him through the way I prepare, compete, handle adversity, treat others, and use the opportunities I’ve been given.
Part of that calling is representing Nebraska Pickleball on the professional stage. I want to represent our community in a way that makes people proud and show what Nebraska is all about—hard work, humility, generosity, relationships, and taking care of one another.
LEARNING TO ACCEPT HELP.
I’ve always been much more comfortable being the person who gives, teaches, coaches, organizes, and helps others. Creating this page requires me to be vulnerable enough to admit that pursuing professional pickleball at the highest level takes a tremendous amount of time, travel, training, and resources—and that I don’t have to do it alone.
Barlow Backers is an exercise in surrendering some of my pride and allowing people who believe in me and this mission to become part of the journey. I’m going to give everything I have to see where God takes this. And if you’d like to come alongside me, I’d be incredibly grateful to have you as a Barlow Backer.
